My First Post

Cool, so this is my first post on the new blog.  Mostly I am just concerned for the whole OpenID thing.  I like the idea very much, but for some reason I feel overly concerned with what it will be.  I think that its weird I'm so concerned about it, but mostly I think I'm oddly concerned about my email sounding professional because until something new comes along (I will be shocked if that happens before I'm 40), I plan to use the one I have.  Seems like a long commitment to something that I decided on in about 30 seconds.  I pretty much just annoyed that gmail refuses to recycle usernames, and that even though I started fairly early, I didn't get the username I wanted.  Also, I hate the idea that I should just go to another service, get the username I want, and give out that email, but then have all of those emails forwarded to gmail to take advantage of their capabilities.  Personally, I think the bit after the '@' is just as important as the first bit.  Using '@gmail.com' conveys a certain sense of being up with the times that '@hotmail.com' or worse, '@aol.com' just do not. Oh well... mountains out of mole hills I guess.
